The lovely man who first planted Muscat grapes on our farm never owned a watch in his entire life. He claimed he was quite accurate in telling the time by looking at shadows. Well, he wasn’t. Although he was never, ever on time for anything, we all learned a valuable lesson from him: if you’re always in a hurry, you don’t have time to live.
